Measurement, Evaluation &
Key Performance Indicators

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are specific, quantifiable metrics that are chosen to evaluate success toward strategic goals. To measure effectively, a business must first set clear goals, then choose KPIs that directly align with those goals, and finally use these KPIs to monitor progress and make data-driven decisions.

How to measure KPIs

  1.  Set clear goals: Define specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) objectives.

  2. Identify relevant KPIs: Choose metrics that directly measure progress toward your goals, such as clinical outcomes, accessibility, efficiency, and sustainability.

  3. Establish a baseline: Measure your current performance for each KPI to have a starting point for comparison.

  4. Track and monitor: Regularly collect data and track performance against your targets.

  5. Analyze and act: Use the data to understand what is working and what is not and make adjustments to your strategies as needed.
