Training Overview
About Us
The Coalition for Behavioral Health’s training team collaborates with communities of human service providers to reinforce community-based foundations upon which New Yorkers can reach their full potential of resilience and well-being— across settings and multi-cultural backgrounds, and throughout the adult lifespan.
Current Training Programs
The Center for Rehabilitation & Recovery (CRR)
Intensive support and technical assistance to New York City Personalized Recovery Oriented Service (PROS) providers and training offerings for New York State mental health providers on Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Supported by funding from the New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS OMH)
Court-Involved Youth Mental Health Initiative (CIY)
City-wide trainings for agencies designated to receive funding under the Court-Involved Youth Mental Health Initiative
Supported by New York City Council’s Discretionary Funding, through the NYC DOHMH
The Coalition for Behavioral Health's Court-Involved Youth (CIY) Mental Health Initiative promotes learning through training opportunities for designated agencies eligible to receive funding under this initiative. Court-involved youth programs and other New York City community providers who participate in Coalition trainings attain valuable knowledge and learn skills that benefit the recipients of their services. An informed, knowledgeable, and skilled workforce will lead to improved engagement of, and outcomes for, justice-involved youth.
